Lesli Foster, Moderator

Welcome back to Lombardi Women!

Lesli Foster is an award-winning journalist and mainstay of Washington news as a Weeknight Anchor for WUSA9.

Lesli Foster has spent more than two decades working to earn the trust and respect of viewers in the greater Washington, DC area in her role as a journalist, advocate and first informer. Known for her warmth, and ability to share reaching stories, Lesli thrives on work that touches everyday living. That journey has allowed her to interview many local, national and international luminaries, but she most enjoys talking with ordinary people using their lives to do extraordinary things.

Her career work has been recognized with numerous awards including four Emmys for Best Anchor – plus numerous other Emmy, Edward R. Murrow, Gracies, NABJ Salute To Excellence, Associated Press and TEGNA Make A Difference awards. Journalism, she says, is her life’s work, and feeds her drive to make a difference in the lives of people.

Blair Todd, 2025 Spirit of Life Awardee

Living with stage 4 breast cancer since 2022, Blair Todd embraces each day with gratitude, purpose, and the unwavering support of her loved ones.

She is happily married to Steve and mom to 13-year-old daughter, Piper. Todd thrives both personally and professionally, Head of HR for an IT company supporting the federal government. She stays active with workouts alongside friends, walks with her two dogs, exploring new restaurants, and traveling with family. Recently, she explored Spain and Portugal with Steve and Piper, and she loves beach days in Rehoboth with extended family. Todd credits the care team at Georgetown for fueling her belief in the power of research, community, and hope through life’s challenges.

The Spirit of Life Award is presented to exceptional individuals who have navigated the challenges of breast cancer, raise awareness in their communities, and provide hope and support to those touched by this disease. Their bravery to share their story makes a difference for breast cancer research at Georgetown Lombardi. We are so grateful to Blair Todd for sharing her story with us.
